When you’re banking online with Gateway, you’re protected 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by multi factor authentication (MFA) security. You can bank with absolute confidence that you’re safe online.
What is it?
In order to make your online banking experience as secure as possible, we will be introducing a new security feature that detects any uncharacteristic or unusual behavior involving your accounts. If anything out of the ordinary is detected, we will verify your identity.
How will it work?
If we detect any unusual or uncharacteristic activity, we will ask you to answer security questions or receive a phone call to verify your identity. This will most likely be a very rare occurrence.
How will I start using it?
When we release this feature, you will be asked to select and answer a few questions and to provide a few phone numbers where you can be reached for verification. After you enroll, if unusual activity for your user account is detected, we will ask the questions you answered during enrollment or we may phone to ask for confirmation. It is that simple.
Key information about policies for opening a new account at Gateway Bank:
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
